Erica believes that personal stories have the power to heal and that feeling understood, empowers people against oppression and into action.
As Artistic Director, facilitator and editor for Reel Youth, Erica works with young people, helping them create their own media through stop motion animation and filmmaking programs throughout the Pacific Northwest, Nepal and India.
In 2007, she co-produced and mentored the documentary “GOONDA”, made with street kids in Mysore, India that screened at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Erica is currently working on a documentary she and Mark Vonesch filmed in Nepal about young peole rescued from the adult prison system and ex-Maoist child soldiers.
Erica lives in Coast Salish territory, where she is homesteading in the woods.
