In everyday life, [women] face many forms of discrimination based on sex, caste or ethnic origin in addition to being isolated from basic social services...during a seminar before and after the Women’s Trek for Peace and Development, held by CECI in March 2008, women and men working in development in Kathmandu spoke about their strategies of partnership with remote villages and women from mountain regions shared the issues they were up against and some of the solutions they were employing.
