The Story Behind Not a Love Story: Bonnie Klein
Bonnie Klein recalls making her controversial film Not a Love Story and the reactions it provoked. The idea for the film came from looking at a corner-store magazine rack, and her examination of the world of pornography shook a generation of women who had mostly never seen pornography before. It was one of the first documentary films shown in theatres, and reaction to it was extreme, but Klein says that to this day she still meets people who tell her that the film changed their lives.

Hi there,
to purchase this film or any other NFB film, you can contact: http://www.nfb.ca/collection/films/fiche/?id=13558
I agree, it's so frustrating when you can't locate a film (so often a doc) after it initially comes out... and, this one is a gem!

I remember seeing this movie when it
came out in theaters, and thinking it
was very interesting and then it was
gone, never to be seen again. I think
most people in the audience had no idea
what pornography was about.
Is there a way to purchase or rent this
movie?
Thank you,
