Meet the people involved in the fight to eliminate racism in the workplace.
What was once out in the open is now subtly hidden in the policies and practices of the workplace. CITIZENShift has teamed up with Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) to explore the issue of racism at work. This dossier devoted entirely to issues surrounding racism in the workplace. Examine how direct and systemic racism adversely effect industry and economy. Meet players involved in the fight to combat, subvert, and eliminate workplace racism. Witness the journey from the making-of to the final cut of six provocative short films produced on the subject.
Update: After the huge success of this dossier (launched in 2006) and the series of videos created on the subject, we are happy to announce that a new series of films and a space for dialogue on the topic is currently in action!

How do you find a place in the job market when you're an immigrant? The
company Voice Job specializes in services for immigrants and battles the
discrimination many of them face - even though they represent the dynamic
society of tomorrow. One of their innovative strategies is to shoot videos
that serve as CVs for their clients. Voice Job takes us into
the frenzy of the Montreal Job and Training Fair, a sort of microcosm of
the host society - where the integration of immigrants in search of a
better future is being played out.
