Young people learn how to tell their stories of change and courage through film, music and poetry.
"I learned that there are some people who actually give a shit". Those are the words of one student who took a leap of faith and participated in one of the documentary projects in this dossier.
By turning the microphones and cameras over to young people, Productions Oracle have created Turning Points and Focus, two documentaries that tell the stories of disenfranchised young people and empower them to create music, poetry and film. Watch how the act of telling stories about life, change, courage and success can itself be a life-changing experience.
During a day in the life of Focus school, several kids in class talk about parents and how they don't understand what teens go through. Cut to a dramatic sequence shot in one of the girl's houses. A convincing scene where we see how alone one can feel. To order email: productions.oracle@gmail.com
