CITIZENShift has teamed up with Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) to explore the issue of racism at work. This dossier devoted entirely to issues surrounding racism in the workplace. Examine how direct and systemic racism adversely effect industry and economy. Meet players involved in the fight to combat, subvert, and eliminate workplace racism. Witness the journey from the making-of to the final cut of six provocative short films produced on the subject.

Check out our first completed 'Work for all' film 'Une femme de tête.' Directed by Mohammed Belhaj, the film explores the barriers to employment faced by many new immigrants. This is the story of Bouchra, a highly educated woman from Morocco, and her experiences looking for meaningful employment in Quebec. Bouchra's story of strength and perseverance reflects that of many newcomers to Canada. It is through her eyes that we experience the challenges to breaking-into the job market. The film was shot in Montreal over 5 days.
