We're talking trash! Take a look at where your garbage ends up, and what some green-thinking people are doing to change our throw-away culture.
"Out of sight, out of mind". That's the attitude of most people when it comes to garbage. We put our garbage out on the curb and someone comes and takes it away -- and it's not our problem anymore! But we all know that garbage has to go somewhere, and wherever it ends up it causes serious environmental trouble. In this dossier you'll experience a range of garbage and recycling issues and meet people who are finding solutions to the problem of waste in our culture. From dumpster diving in Australia, to 'e-waste' recycling in China, to Canadian environmentalists in action, we're bringing the issue of garbage back home to your doorstep. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it! Contribute your media and voice now!
Electronic Recycling Association is a non-for profit organization working with the public and private sectors to help companies and the public deal with unwanted electronic items.
The ERA.ca market themselves unapologetically by mass-spam. I even called them via phone to have them remove my email address and they were abusive and refused to do so. I have never subscribed to their list, and I ask to be unsubscribed every time, yet they keep on cranking out the spam.
There are other games in town that don't market themselves by junk email.
