'UNESCO's World Heritage Convention', was adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO in 1972, and is founded on the premise that certain places on Earth are of "outstanding universal value" and as such should form part of the common heritage of humankind. Click here to find out more!
There are over 851 sites on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Located all around the world, these sites are of exceptional value to humanity. They also help contribute to the sustainability of communities and ecosystems
Every year, the World Heritage Committee meets to review the state of preservation for each site and to review applications for new sites. During the summer of 2008, 30 young people from around the world assembled in Canada to observe the work of the committee, not only to learn more about World Heritage, but also to consider their role in helping to protect it.

A morning that those involved would probably prefer to forget, this movie nevertheless gives a glimpse into just one of the multitude of details that the Project Managers had to consider in order to make the entire experience a pleasant and memorable one for the Youth Delegates of the 32nd Session of the World Heritage Committee.
