With rising poverty rates across Canada and much of the industrialized world, this is an increasingly popular theme. A look at the increasing gap between the haves and have-nots through media projects and poems from people who want to see poverty and homelessness become a thing of the past.
Two young activists voice their concerns about certain challenges facing the homeless community. This clip sheds lights on the fact that cities spray water on certain locales, all in the hopes of flushing the homeless out of sight - and arguably out of mind. This issue is met with further concerns and restrictions surrounding community centers set up for the homeless, aimed at taking them off the street, all the while out of the public eye as well.
