Fayetteville, Forward March Toward Peace (Part 1) - Bring Them Home Now
Fayetteville, North Carolina boasts the largest military installation in the world, Fort Bragg. So a peace rally held there on the second anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq was unusual. At this demonstration military families, war veterans and war resisters bore witness to the meaninglessness and waste of the war in Iraq. On Day One of the gathering, military families and veterans ask hard questions about the "agendas of powerful people" that demand the lives of U.S. soldiers and innocent Iraqis.

I thought most of the Unitedstaters were all fanatic patriots. It is a great surprize for me to see young soldiers telling that they dont want kill or torture innocent poeple. They know that their country will punish them in a very bad way. I would say that Canada is a peaceful country but we are David and United States are Goliath. So the action of our government is very limited. As prime minister Pierre Trudeau said: "When a mouse sleep with an elephant she must take care when he turnaround".
The case of Corey Glass got my attention. I didn't know there was a war resisters organisation concerning Iraq. Personnaly I desagree with this war (I should say "armed agression"). But the fact that US are a so powerful country gives themselves the permission to track down anybody when they want, like they want and where they want. This is an indecent abuse.
