From the Ground Up: Soil to Plate

A dossier covering the politics of food from the earth to our dinner tables.

We are what we eat, or so the saying goes.  But do we really understand the production process by which food reaches our plate?  Is the currently established system of food production harmful to the environment?  And how is the changing climate affecting farming practices?  What we choose to consume not only impacts our own health but also the earth's biological balance for future generations.

We can reduce our carbon footprint by making educated choices on a daily basis.  This means buying local, eating organic and being conscientious of  how our daily habits will impact the earth.
This dossier will be comprised of a series of provocative documentaries, educational resources and some helpful hints to empower and inspire.
