With now eight years to reflect and look back, Canada’s so-called ‘security measures’ adopted within the climate of the post-September 11, 2001, ‘war against terrorism’ have inarguably shown that racialized groups - primarily Muslims, Arabs and those that are perceived to be Muslims or Arabs - have been scapegoated and marginalized in the name of national security.
