Although we’ve been a little slow to get started on this blog, we’re alive and kicking. We touched down in Mumbai about a month ago and our production is in full swing. We spent about a week in the city getting our bearings and waiting for monsoon to kick in. It drizzled a little, but we missed the torrential downpours that are typical at this time of year. The moment we left, the heavens opened and flooding began. The water was waist-deep. We were lucky. We did a little sightseeing, met a lot of great people, and fell in love with the city. We have yet to pick up our own Fairness Meter though (see photo)…

With This Ring is an independent documentary film by Ameesha Joshi and Anna Sarkissian. Since 2006, they've been tracking the Indian Women’s National Boxing Team, who are some of the best boxers in the world.
ameeshaAmeesha Joshi is currently enrolled in the MFA program at Concordia University in Montreal. She started filmmaking in 2000 when she lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
