Become a Young Reporter

" Clip your 514 " is looking for students between the ages of 15 and 20 to make a video about a Montreal issue important to them. Candidates are invited to submit a project proposal for a chance to receive training, support, and access to all necessary technical equipment in order to produce their video!
" Clip your 514 " is a video contest aimed at hearing the voices of Montreal adolescents, in particular those from immigrant families. The videos will be broadcast on the Citizenshift website (www.citizenshift.org) and will be presented at a soirée where participation prizes will be awarded – such as a day on the job at Radio-Canada!
Eligibility criteria
For the chance to be selected and make a video for " Clip your 514 " :
• Form a group of 3-5 students between the ages of 15 and 20, in secondary school or in Francization classes, who are mostly from cultural communities
• Find an adult supervisor from your school who will sponsor your team
• Write a 75-word project proposal and fill out the registration form online before March 5, 2010
• Be available for an information session in early March
Participant selection
Teams will be selected based on the project proposal, to be submitted online. Applications will be judged on writing quality and originality.
